Thank you all for the kind notes, cards, and gifts from over the holidays. I just received some of them as the travel keeps us from receiving all the mail right away. The notes from the kids are especially precious. We received one note written in crayon: “Dear Bro. Rob, …I hope you don’t die.” We appreciate these expressions of kindness. We are especially thankful for your prayers for Grace and her health. Thus far, the pregnancy is progressing well and we are looking forward to a healthy baby arriving early in August.
Meanwhile, I have been on the deputation trail across the US. I tried to head down south and avoid the snowy and cold weather, but the snow followed me as far as Texas. We praise the Lord to have seen souls saved in personal soulwinning and in services I have had the opportunity to preach. Last Sunday, while preaching a Sunday morning service in a church in Louisiana, a young man came forward and accepted Christ as his Saviour. It turns out that his parents were planning to take him to a different church, but the mother had a headache and he rode the church bus instead. Praise the Lord for the providential headache.
Thank you all for your faithfulness in prayer and financial support even now on deputation. We are excited about leaving for Nepal as soon as possible. I plan to head over to Nepal soon after the baby is born and prepare things before bringing over the rest of the family. Please continue to pray for Grace’s health, the baby as it develops, safety on the road, and that we will quickly raise the remainder of our support.
God bless,
